Good afternoon! I have a patient who is CPAP intolerant, so we made her an oral appliance to treat her mild OSA. Patient has since reported feeling much better and noticing an immediate improvement in quality of sleep. Her 6 month re-eval shows the AHI has actually not changed! She is still mild at AHI 9.9. Any suggestions here? Thanks for your time

Great to hear! Remember, it is not always about the AHI. If you can send her home with the Statdds monitor and measure her oxygen desaturations. That will give us a better indication in which direction we want to go in titrating(adjusting) the appliance.
